Mike, caretaker at the M. I. T. gymnasium, has his own ideas about first year men. He expounded some of them last night to a CRIMSON reporter who had arrived to cover the scheduled Freshman basketball game, only to find the gym building dark and deserted.
"Freshmen", explained Mike, "haven't got much sense. Wednesday night, for instance, the Tech Freshman basketball team came over here to the gym to play the Harvard Freshmen. They waited and waited, and when no Harvard boys cane they packed up and went home.
"And now tonight along came the Harvard team claiming that they were scheduled to take on the M. I. T. five. And after waiting around an hour and a half they went home too. So the M. I. T. Harvard Freshman game didn't come off after all."
