FENCERS PURSUE WINNING STREAK WITHOUT A BREAK

10-3 Win From M. I. T. Makes Eight Consecutive Victory and Qualifies for Intercollegiate

Encountering little opposition from the M. I. T. fencing team, the Crimson walked away to a 10-3 victory at the Technology gymnasium Saturday afternoon, in the third league match of the season.

As a result of the match, the Crimson fencing team has not only obtained eight consecutive victories, but can also boast of a better record than any other team which has represented the University this year. The Crimson foilsmen have thus far beaten Bowdoin, New York University, Columbus, Dartmouth, Norwich, West Point, J. Sanford Saltus Club, and M. I. T. Next Saturday they meet Yale at Hemenway in the last and most important match of the season.

Also as a result of the match, the University fencing team has qualified for the Intercollegiate tournaments which will be held in New York April 3 and 4.

The summary of the matches follows:

Foils-E. H. Lane '24 defeated Ferre 5-0; E. H. Lane defeated Levis 5-3; E. H. Lane defeated Hawthorne 5-3.

E. L. Lane '24 defeated Ferre 5-0; E. L. Lane defeated Levis 5-1; E. L. Lane defeated Hawthorne 5-3.

Roland Fleer '24 defeated Ferre 5-4; Roland Fleer defeated Hawthorne 5-2.

Levis (M. I. T.) defeated R. A. Durham '25 5-2.

Duelling Swords-F. W. Saunders '24 defeated Blake 1-0; London Snedeker '25 defeated Blake 1-0; Cole (M. I. T. defeated London Snedeker '25 1-0; Cole (M. I. T.) defeated F. W. Saunders '24.
