YALE 1927 FAILURES NOT SO BAD AFTER ALL; ONLY 43 DROP

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Reports in the daily papers of the number of men dropped from the Yale Freshman class after the mid-year examinations were proved to have been greatly exaggerated by actual figures which were recently published. The facts show that 25 men were dropped on account of scholastic deficiencies in February and with the 18 who were dropped in November, the number amounts to five per cent of the class and twelve less than last year.

The University office is at present compiling a similar set of figures which will be ready for publication in a few days.
