The 1927 nine will face one of the hardest games of its schedule this afternoon when the Holy Cross Freshman team meets the Crimson on the Freshman diamond at 4 o'clock. The purple will be eager to avenge the 4 to 2 defeat administered by last year's Freshmen in a 14-inning game. The visitors have had a most successful season so far and bring with them to Soldiers Field an impressive record of unbroken victories.
A practice game yesterday showed encouraging results from the recent enforced lay-off due to the prolonged rain. Coach Davidson is planning to start his regular line-up but there may be frequent changes before the game is over.
