Has President Charles W. Eliot picked a winner in John W. Davis?

Friends of the aged educator say in the last quarter century, he has always been on the side of the victor in the presidential, campaigns. In the last four elections his batting average in choosing winners has been 1.000.

In 1908 he is supposed to have voted for Traft, in 1912 and 1916 Wilson, and in 1920 Harding. Now ae has come out vigorously for John W. Davis.

Has President Eliot's shrewd political eye shown him that Davis will win in November?
