DEAN POUND APPOINTED TO BRITISH ARBITRATION BODY

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Department of State has confirmed the reported appointment of Roscoe Pound Hon 20, Dean of the Law School, to the British-American Board of Arbitration.

Dean Pound, when interviewed yesterday, said the appointment had been received from President Coolidge during the latter part of September and that leave of absence has been granted him by the University in order to enable him to accept the honor. He expects the Board to be in session from October 26 to January 1, 1926, and during that time he will reside in Washington.

On the Board with Dean Pound will sit Sir Charles Fitzpatrick, the representative of Great Britain, and Dr. Nearincx of Belgium, the neutral member. Under the treaty terms of 1912 the Board decides disputes between this country and Great Britain concerning matters of a pecuniary nature.
