SQUAD OF CHEERLEADERS WHITTLED TO TWELVE MEN

At the trials for cheerleaders held yesterday afternoon in the Stadium, the Committee reduced a large squad of candidates to 12 men, who will form a temporary squad to take charge of the cheering during the Middlebury game on Saturday.

After the game a head cheerleader will be chosen by the members of the Committee, J. L. Carroll '26, C. G. T. Lundell '27, G. D. Debevoise '26 and Delmar Leighton '17, acting as judges. The newly chosen leader and the committeemen will then select four others from the squad as regular cheerleaders.

Following are the names of the men who survived the cut and the periods of the game in which they will have their final tryouts: Thayer Cumings '26, L. O. Combs '26 and Roger Magoun '27, first period; W. L. Tibbetts '26, E. W. Martin '26 and R. J. Feist '27, second period; K. M. Rogers '26, J. N. Watters '26 and R. P. McFadden '26, third period; E. C. Haggerty '27, S. B. Jones '26 and A. H. O'Neil '28, fourth period.
