The second competition for the Editorial Board of the CRIMSON will be opened to the Junior class on Wednesday evening, with a meeting in the President's office, CRIMSON Building, at 7 o'clock.
The late start of the competition will cut off at least one week of its duration, making the total length slightly under ten weeks. Another advantage is the breaking up of the work during Christmas and the Midyear examinations, Candidates will be given ample time to prepare for each examination.
Details To Be Explained
The meeting on Wednesday will be addressed by the President of the CRIMSON, and by the Editorial Chairman, who will explain the details of the competition. After the first few days the ordinary requirements will be at least one editorial every day, though at the start this will not be expected. College affairs are treated at greatest length in the editorial columns, but any event of fairly wide interest is suitable for treatment. The prime requisite for subjects chosen is that they be of timely interest and importance.
That CRIMSON editorials have wide-spread recognition may be seen in the fact that last year over 50 were quoted by Metropolitan papers. Many of these were written by editorial candidates. This competition is to be open to Juniors only.
