TO GIVE FOLK SONG RECITAL IN COSTUME

TICKET PRICE CUT IN HALF FOR STUDENTS

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Miss Lorraine Wyman, noted singer of folksongs, will give a recital in the Paine Music Building tonight at 8.15 o'clock. The recital is to be given under the auspices of the Division of Music and the MacDowell Colony league of Cambridge.

Miss Wyman is an eminent authority on folksongs. She has collected many of them herself. In the mountainous regions of Kentucky, Miss Wyman travelled among the people collecting the folksongs that have been handed down from generation to generation. In order to enhance that performance, Miss Wyman will appear in folk, costume giving some slight dramatic interpretation.

For several years, Miss Wyman has been a feature of the Whiting concerts. She has made several appearances at Harvard, Yale, and Princeton where she has always been a favorite. The proceeds of her performance will be devoted to the MacDowell Memorial Colony at Peterboro, N. H.

Tickets for the recital will be sold at half price to all students in the University and will be on sale both at Amee's Bookstore on Brattle Street and at the door this evening.
