John Watts '28, recently appointed editor-in-chief of the Freshman Red Book, who stroked the 1928 Red crew in fall practice, resigned from the Red Book yesterday, because of the pressure of spring crew work, in favor of T. H. Eliot, grandson of President Eliot.
The vacancy caused by the promotion of Eliot, who was originally appointed editorial chairman, has been filled by raising Barrett Williams from sub-chairman to chairman. The position of sub-chairman will be filled by a competition, which will begin next Monday.
