Law Essay Contest Starts

The regulations governing the Law School essay contest for the Addison Brown Prize and the final date of May 1, on which essays will be accepted has been posted in Langdell Hall. A first prize of $200 will be awarded to the law student who submits the best paper on a subject dealing with Maritime or Private International Law.

The contest is made possible by a bequest of $2500 received in 1914 from the estate of Addison Brown, in the south District of New York State. The stipulations of the bequest provide that "the net income thereof to be awarded annually or biennially for the best essay by one of the students in the Law School on some designated subject of maritime or Private International Law, under prescribed regulations.
