The collection of meteorite specimens in the University Mineralogical Museum has been rearranged during the last summer and again placed on exhibition in the gallery of the museum, it was announced yesterday by Professor Charles Palache, Curator of the Mineralogical Museum.
The catalogue of the meteorite falls, now in the collection, was published before the opening of the University and lists 350 falls of meteorites. Within the past few weeks there has also been added to this collection 25 additional meteorites, not before represented in the collection. Some of these new specimens are of a very interesting nature.
During the summer, several new display cases were added to the main museum and the collection of crystals has been moved into these.
