INSTRUMENTAL CLUBS TO TOUR DURING VACATION

The Instrumental Clubs will make a tour of eight cities in the Northwest during next Christmas vacation according to William Brewster '28, Manager of the organization. The final objective of the trip will be Chicago, where Harvard graduates are preparing to welcome enthusiastically the appearance of the three clubs.

The competition for this trip will be very keen, according to all indications. At the preliminary tryouts, only 50 out of 125 new candidates were retained. The men who go on the trip will be the ones who show the best form in the early rehearsals and concerts. The preliminary work will start tonight with the first full rehearsal for both old and new men in the Music Building. The Mandolin club wil assemble first at 6.50 o'clock, and the Banjo and Vocal Clubs are to convene at 7.45 and 8.20 o'clock respectively.

Will Revive Old Songs

The Vocal Unit of the Instrumental clubs will revive a large number of songs from the "gay nineties" as one of the special features of its program this year. In addition, there will be included Christmas carols, football songs, and some favorites from old Harvard Glee Club programs. A. A. Holbrook 228 has been selected as the leader of the Vocal Club for the coming season, B. S. Cogan '24 wil continue as the Director.
