Union Announces Speakers

The Harvard Union announced yesterday the first three speakers abtained for this season.

Dr. H. J. Spinden '06, Curator of the Peabody Museum, opens the list with an appearance on November 10. Dr. Spinden, a noted authority on the ancient Mayan civilization, will speak about his recent expedition to Yucatan and Honduras and illustrate his talk with motion picture slides of the region travercel. His experiences among the primitive Indians of Central America form a narrative of great interest.

Dr. Spinden has made many original discoveries of Mavan relies and a number of his acquisitions are now on exhibition in the Peabody Museum. On his as tiourney to the interior of Handurgs the sole white man on the expedition. Dr. Spinden unearthed some ancient temples sites and ceremonial deposits of great historical and archaeological value.
