At a joint meeting of the old and new Student Councils held last night, M. A. Cheek '26, President of the old Council, presided, and outlined the work and purposes of the Student Council. It was agreed that he preside as temporary chairman until the now Council, which was elected last week, chooses its additional five members and its officers.
At the meeting which the old Council held before it was joined by the newly elected men, a tentative plan for the budget was submitted by J. C. McGlone '26. It was approved and voted that the tentative plan as submitted by McGlone be ratified.
William Enos Soule '27 of Newton was appointed Chairman of the Student Advisory Committee for 1926-27. The Student Advisory Committee is a standing committee of the Student Council. In becoming its Chairman Soule will take the place of J. A. Halsted '26, who has held the position during the last year.
