One of the brightest spots of the afternoon, for the Harvard side of the Stadium at least, was the playing of the Harvard Band. Displaying a snap and precision, a rhythm, having besides, a drum major who did not fear the regulation size baton, the Crimson Band, deported itself in such a manner as to win the administration of both cheering sections.
Next Saturday the Harvard players are doomed to being outdressed by the visiting band, wearing full military regalia, and boasting a seven foot drum. Harvard is content to forego the brass buttons and gold braid now that its representatives have added the polish of courtesy to the tunes that they have always rendered faithfully.
