Initiation of five members of the class of 1928 into Tau Beta Pl, the honorary Engineering School Society, was announced last night by W. M. Hickey '27, president. Elections took place last month after the mid-year grades were made known.
Those whose scholarship ranks in the highest eighth of the Junior class of the Engineering School are eligible for Tau Beta Pl provided their average is not below B. Each year there are about ten members of the class eligible, and of this number, about five are elected.
Those Juniors who were initiated Monday night are A. S. Edmonds, of Portland, Oregon; R. S. Kerston, of Minneapolis, Minnesota; J. M. Slade, of New Britain, Connecticut; T. A. Taylor, of Stony Brook, Long Island; and R. C. Waldron, of Somerville.
