The University second tennis team took a close match from the Andover racquetmen yesterday by a score of 5-4. Most of the matches were extended to three sets, and it was the last doubles match of the afternoon that decided the contest, the score standing at a tie of 4-4 before the players began.
T. O. Kingsbury '27, playing number one for the Harvard team was beaten by Thomas by a score of 3-6, 8-6, 6-1. In the second match of the afternoon J. C. Reuter '28, beat Sturtevant, 3-6, 4-6, 6-2 while Robeson Bailey '29 playing in the closest match of the afternoon lost to Robertson 4-6, 6-3, 10-8. H. W. Sayles '28, playing number four for the University seconds was downed by Baldwin 6-3, 3-6, 6-2. In the other two singles matches S. G. French '28, beat Henry 6-3, 6-1, and Hyman Lisker '29 easily finished Huxley 6-2, 6-3.
