POOL DEFEATS BAKER OF B. A. A. IN SQUASH UPSET

In the best display of squash played this year on the University courts, Captain J. L. Pool '28 of the University team, combining speed with accuracy, defeated M. P. Baker '25 of the Boston Athletic Association, three straight sets Saturday in the concluding series of the Massachusetts Squash Racquets Association tournament. The University, however, lost its series of matches by a score of 3-2, and thereby dropped to third place in the Association tournament. The other three University teams were victorious in their matches.

Team B emerged from its contest with the Tennis and Racquet Club players at the large end of a 3-2 score, and received fifth place in the tourney. A 5-0 win over the Weston Golf Club raequetmen game team C third place in the tournament. The Freshman outfit defeated the class D team of the Boston Athletic Association five straight sets.

Team C-Weston Golf Club at Cambridge-Harvard 5, Weston Golf Club 6; E. M. Shelton '30 defeated Sears, 3-0; R. G. Fiske '28 defeated Whitney, 3-0; R. K. Tilt '29 defeated Noyes, 3-1; R. O. Bishop '29 defeated Baker, 3-0, J. C. Rueter '28 defeated Parsons, 3-2.
