Thomas Edward Farrell '31, of Oswego, New York was elected captain of the Freshman basketball team last night. His election came just after the first year men had played a game with the Cushing Academy team. He prepared at the Oswego High School, where he was a member of the track team, and captain of the basketball team.

Although he was handicapped at the beginning of the season by an injured hand which he received in the Cambridge Latin High School practice game, he has been one of the mainstays of the team since his return. He plays right forward for the first year hoopmen, and was the high scorer for his team in the game with Cushing yesterday.
