CIRCOLO ITALIANO TO BESTOW SCHOLARSHIP

Winner of Competition Will Study in Italy--Open Only to Circolo Members With Scholastic Ability

A $900 scholarship enabling a member of the Circolo Italiano who must also be a worthy student, to study and carry on research in an Italian university, during the academic year of 1928-1929, has been offered by the Circolo Italiano.

The scholarship will be assigned by competition, the most determining factors being a man's college record and the quality of an essay, the subject of which must be presented to the committee by April 1 with a birth certificate, and a complete statement of the schools attended by the applicant; also a detalied statement of the work which the applicant proposes to do in Italy.

The committee for the grant of the scholarship will meet during the first week of April to examine the applications and approve or reject the proposed subjects for essays. The result is to be announced in May.

Each applicant shall give the names of four persons for reference, two connected with his studies and two acquainted with his character and financial condition.

The scholarship is being awarded for the second time this year. G. H. Huntly '27 who is now at the University of Rome, was the man to receive it last year.
