UNIVERSITY DIRECTORY ON SALE IN BOOKSTORES TODAY

The Annual Directory of Officers and Students of Harvard University for the academic year 1289-1929 goes on sale today at all Harvard Square bookstores.

The volume contains the names, local addresses, years and departments of enrolment or official appointments of 9295 students, faculty members, and administrative officers. This figure does not include the names of 45 graduates and undergraduates who registered too late for inclusion in the list, or those of 49 graduate students who neglected to file any address.

The roster of 9295 contains 99 Smiths, 37 Browns, an equal number of Joneses, and 31 Robinsons. Fifth in the list of surnames according to numerical strength are 27 Cohens. The Murphys and Sullivans muster 20 and 16 respectively.

In addition to the addresses, the Directory includes a list of consultation hours of professors and instructors conducting courses under the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, together with the office hours of administrative officers.
