The University cross country team meets a fast Dartmouth aggregation at 3.30 o'clock this afternoon on the Soldiers Field five and one half mile course. The Crimson harriers were nosed out 26 to 29 last Friday by New Hampshire University, although Captain J. L. Reid '29 and Leslie Flaksman '29 took the first two places.
The University entries in the order of their standing are J. L. Reid '29, captain, R. C. Aldrich '31, Leslie Flaksman '29, A. G. Thacker '29, Guy Murchie '29, R. G. Hodges '31, H. D. Everett '31, F. B. Thurber '30, F. B. Hyde '30, F. F. Solomon '29.
The Dartmouth entries, in order of their standing, are as follows: R. S. Monahan, E. R. Butterworth, L. F. Andrews, W. B. Bertram, W. C. Gould, J. G. Huckins, John Rick, and V. M. Walsh.
The meet will start at the south end of the Lars Anderson bridge, and finish on the opposite side of the river.
The Dartmouth runners lost to the University of Maine last week by a few points, but Coach Jaakko Mikkola said yesterday that the Green harriers will present a much more formidable opposition than last year.
"Last week was the first time our University team has been beaten in five years," he continued, "and I know Jimmy Reid and his boys will put up a stiff fight."
