The first Annual Undergraduate Cross Country Handicap meet for the Gragg Richards '02 trophy will be held this afternoon at 3.30 o'clock on the University five and a half mile course.
Seventy men were on the list of entrants last night, and Coach Jaakko Mikkola announced that the last hour for entries had been put off to a short time before the start. It is expected that there will be almost 100 men in the race.
Gragg Richards '02 has offered three silver cups and seven bronze medals as prizes, in addition to the $100 trophy for which all undergraduate members of the University may compete.
J. L. Reid '29, captain of the University harriers, will start as scratch while handicaps as great as seven minutes 50 seconds will be awarded.
As a result of today's run two men will be chosen to complete the list of Harvard entries for the Intercollegiate. Cross Country Run at Van Courtland Park on November 26.
