DECEMBER 7 SET AS DATE OF FIRST 1928-29 NOBLE LECTURE

Series by the Reverend Ross on "Why Preach Christ?"

The William Belden Noble lectures for the year 1928-29 will be delivered by the Reverend George Alexander Johnston Ross, Professor of Homiletics in Union Theological Seminary, New York City. The general title of the series is "Why Preach Christ?"

The specific subjects to be treated in the series of five lectures have been announced as follows: lecture 1, "Why introduce men to Jesus?"; lecture 2, "How does Jeus function in religion?"; lecture 3, "What is the differentia in Christian Ethics?"; lecture 4, "Why a community of Faith?"; lecture 5, "Is Christianity Catholic?"'

The lectures will be given in Emerson J, at 8 o'clock on Friday evenings, December 7 and 14, and January 11, 18, and 25. They will be open to the public free of charge.
