Two Harvard wrestling teams get into action this evening in their first contests after the interim of the mid-year examination period. With four new men in the line-up, the University grapplers are scheduled to take the mat against Springfield College at 8 o'clock in Hemenway Gymnasium. Holders of H. A. A. season tickets will be admitted to this event. The first year men travel to Watertown, Conn., where they will engage the wrestlers from Taft School.
The University team has a record of one victory and one defeat behind it, and tonight's showing should indicate the chances for a successful season. Harvard did not face Springfield in wrestling last year, but in 1926 and 1925 the matmen from the western part of the state were overcome by substantial margins.
The Freshman team, which is to meet Taft this evening, has engaged in and won one meet, defeating Tufts Freshmen, 30 to 5.
The University line-up in its meet with Springfield will be as follows:
115-pound class: L. J. Chibas '28.
125-pound class: H. B. Sanders '30.
135-pound class: J. E. Evans '30.
145-pound class: E. C. Sykes '29.
158-pound class: J. F. Solano '30.
175-pound class: Nathaniel Warner '30.
Unlimited class: W. H. Boldt '30.
The Freshman team which will face Taft will line up as follows:
115-pound class: Kiyochi Yamaguchi '31.
125-pound class: M. S. P. Pollard '31.
135-pound class: J. W. Fox '31.
145-pound class: T. O. Frazier '31.
158-pound class: Dana Greeley '31.
