The University fencing team was defeated by the Army swordsmen at West Point Saturday by a score of 11 to 6, in its first intercollegiate meet this year. The cadets won the matches in all three weapons, foils, sabers, and epee.

Berliner '28, 5-4. D.I. Modell '30 defeated Browniee (Army), 5-0. Quill (Army) defeated C.B. Hollister '29, 5-4. M.R. Berliner '28 defeated Quill (Army), 5-3. D.I. Modell '30 defeated Quill (Army) 5-4.
Sabers: M.R. Berliner '28 defeated Kunzig (Army), 5-3. Geddings (Army) defeated M.R. Berliner '28, 5-2, and D.I. Modell '30, 5-1. Kunzig (Army) defeated G.L. Church '29, 5-1.
