MT. WACHUSETTS IS AIM OF ANNUAL HIKING TRIP

An overnight hike to Mount Wachusetts, covering a period of two days in the early spring, has been planned by the hiking class in the University, it was announced by the leader, R. H. Lee 3L, last night. The trip will be open to all students of average hiking experience, and will not be restricted to members of the recreation class.

This hike, an annual foot journey of the hiking class, will take the participants over an area of about 100 miles, through country already traversed this year by members of the Appalachian Club. The entire distance, however, will not be made on foot, provision being made at certain stop-off places for short lifts by motor. Each hiker will carry his own food, but shelter will be provided.

It is hoped by members of the class that, weather permitting, they may spend one of the regular Saturday afternoon ten-mile hikes this month, trotting through snow on snowshoes.
