Harvard Students To Vote on Divestment From Israel in Inaugural HUA Election Survey
Thirteen candidates for the debates with the University of Pennsylvania at Philadelphia on February 24 and with Williams at Paine Hall. Cambridge, on the following day, have determined upon what side of the question their convictions he after a series of conferences with E. M. Rowe '27, debating coach, during the past week.
The question for debate will be: "Resolved. That the jury system be abolished." The teams will probably be selected at the beginning of next week.
The candidates have expressed their choice of sides for the debates as follows: Affirmative, E. T. Clark '28, R. F. Courtney '29, Jacques Herling '28, Brooks Otis '29, V. K. Quong '29, U. G. Warren '30, and R. C. Weaver '29. Negative, C. C. Alfred '28, J. K. Fairbank '29, J. F. Harding '30, F. W. Lorenzen '28, A. L. Raffa ocC., and J. M. Swigert '29.
