TRACKMEN FAVORED FOR MICHIGAN WIN

With greater strength than its opponent in the mile and two-mile runs, the half-mile, pole vault, and shot put, the University track team is favored to win its meet with Michigan tonight on the Wolverines' boards. Twenty members of the squad, with Manager B. T. Thompson '28, Coach E. L. Farrell, and Athletic Director W. J. Bingham '16 entrained for Ann Arbor yesterday afternoon to engage in the first dual track encounter of the two institutions.

T. F. Mason '30 and A. E. French '29, the University entries in the 60-yard dash, will face Michigan's captain, George Hester, who broke the tape in this event in the Big Ten Conference games last year. In the quarter mile V. L. Hennessy '30 and F. E. Cummings '30 will be matched against Munger, who has bettered 50 seconds for this distance. In the longer runs, Harvard, as has been the case in all of its meets during the past few years, will be the heavy favorite. Captain A. H. O'Neil '28 and R. P. Porter '29 in the half, and J. O. Wildes '29 and R. G. Luttman '29 in the mile run, should encounter but little opposition at Ann Arbor. J. L. Reid '29 and Leslie Flaksman '29 are heavily favored to place one-two in the two mile.

W. J. Henrich '28, G. A. Tupper '30, and Mason are slated to face the Michigan hurdlers. The Crimson weight men will be David Guarnaccia '29 and C. A. Pratt '28. The pole vault promises to be a close fight between F. B. Clark '28, B. G. Burbank '28, and Prout, Michigan's veteran. F. T. Burgess '30, Harvard's only entry in the high jump, will have to outdo Waldo, who has cleared 5 feet, 10 5-8 inches to take second in the recent Big Ten meet.
