WILDCATS ENGAGE UNIVERSITY NINE

At 4 o'clock this afternoon, the New Hampshire ball team will engage the Harvard nine on Soldiers Field in an attempt to cut short the latter's winning streak.

Coach F. G. Mitchell plans to give F. B. Cutts '28 a much-needed workout on the mound. It is likely, however, that Willard Howard '28 will relieve him, as Cutts may possibly be sent to the box for a turn against Michigan on Saturday. Present indications seem to point to J. N. Barbee '28 as starting pitcher in the clash with the Wolverine nine.

The Wildcats have played only two games this season, losing their opener to Bates by a 6 to 3 count, but defeating Northwestern 2 to 0 in a very close contest. Slayton, the probable starting twirler in today's clash, is considered one of the leading pitchers in New England collegiate ranks. Last year he held the Crimson to five hits, but the University nine won by a 7 to 5 score, owing to costly fielding miscues on New Hampshire's part.

R. C. Sullivan '28 reported for practice yesterday afternoon for the first time in several weeks. He will not, however, be in condition to play today, but may see service against Michigan.
