The advantages of using the H. A. A. surplus in completing the new Gymnasium were set forth in the CRIMSON last Spring to an extent which makes further review unnecessary. The delay in finally employing these funds in accordance with these ideas may probably be explained by the hope of the Corporation for further subscriptions from Alumni. The fact that there is a pressing need for funds in many departments which are not self-supporting can only increase the satisfaction over the present decision to make this perfectly legitimate use of the Associations surplus funds.
