CRIMSON SWORDSMEN TO ENGAGE ANNAPOLIS

Fencing Team Meets Strong Opponent This Afternoon--Has Recovered From Yale Contest

This afternoon at Annapolis the University fencing team will cross foils with the Navy swordsmen in the last dual meet of the season.

The Navy has always had one of the strongest fencing aggregations in the East, and this year's team is no exception. They are expected to offer the strongest kind of opposition to the Crimson team.

Harvard will be out to avenge their unexpected defeat last Saturday at the hands of the Yale swordsmen. The University team has been mediocre at best this year, having lost four meets and won only two, but after the experience given by their encounter with the championship Eli team and the intensive drill, under the direction of Coach J. L. Danguy, during the last few days, they should have more than an even chance to defeat the sailors.

The Crimson will be again without the services of H. B. Wesselman '31, who will be unable to compete because of an infected arm. His place in the epee will probably be taken by D. I. Modell '30.

Next week the Harvard team will compete in the New England Divisions competition, and on March 28, they enter the Intercollegiates in their last competition of the season.

The following men will represent Harvard today:

Foils: C. B. H. Hollister '29: D. I. Modell '30: M. U. Copland '29. Alternate: J. S. Oettinger '30.

Sabre: R. W. Ehrich '30: G. H. Umbsen '30. Alternate: L.C. Winter '30.

Epee: S. C. Smith '31: D. I. Modell '30.
