TWO SOCCER TEAMS PLAY AWAY THIS AFTERNOON

FRESHMEN OPPOSE EXETER IN POSTPONED GAME

Both the Junior University and Freshman soccer teams will play scheduled games this afternoon when the former opposes the Tufts college group at Medford, and the 1934 squad journeys to Exeter to play off the game postponed from last Saturday by the poor weather.

In an earlier game between the two opponents, the Tufts team was returned the victor over the Jayvees, 1 to 0, in a close game. The Harvard second string players, however, have been strengthened by the addition of the following men to the squad: D. B. Dorman '32, E. J. Grover, Jr. '31, F. L. Howe '32, R. K. Vincent '32, and J. B. Wight '32. The position of goalguard is being closely contested between L. P. Holmes, '33 and Samuel Powell '32, goalie on the 1932 Freshman team. The Jayvees won last week from a combined team of M. I. T. freshmen and upperclassmen, 1 to 0. After the game W. S. Archibald, Jr. '31 was elected captain.

The 1934 team will leave Boston this afternoon at 1.15 o'clock, to meet Exeter. The Freshmen have won two games and lost one, defeating Watertown High, 3 to 1, and Dean Academy, 1 to 0, and losing to Bradford-Durfee Academy, 4 to 3. The captain for the season will be elected by the team after the game.
