When the new swimming pool was opened, as Alumnus Aquatics expressed it, to "the boys" last Monday, the race to see who would be first of them to break the water was keen. But rumor hath it that they had been preceded.

One undergraduate, it seems, wanted to swim on Sunday. Scaling a rear wall, he squeezed through a narrow window, smiled triumphantly, and let go.

His aquatic ardor was effectively quenched when he found that a premature dip in the foot bath was hardly pleasant--especially when fully dressed.
