GOLFERS DEFEAT AMHERST, EXTEND TRIUMPHANT MARCH

Finlay Forced to Nineteenth Hole in Best Match of 6 to 0 Win

The University golf team won its third consecutive match yesterday afternoon by defeating Amherst, 6 to 0.

The matches in the first foursome were very close, Captain Phillips Finlay '31, and J. B. Baldwin Jr. '31 defeating Halligan and Lincoln of Amherst in the best ball, two up. In the singles, Finlay was forced to the nineteenth hole before defeating Halligan; Baldwin won from Lincoln, one up, Halligan made the best score of the afternoon, carding a 73; next in order was Charles Eaton '32; who made 74; then Finlay, with a 75.

The next match will be played against Boston University tomorrow afternoon at Albemarle.

The summary singles Finlay defeated Halligan (A) on the nineteenth hole: Baldwin defeated Lincoln (A), 1 up: Eaten defeated Trainor, 9 to 7: L. D. Wood '31 defeated Johnson, 8 and 6.

Foursomes: Finlay and Baldwin defeated Halligan and Lincoln (A), 2 up: Eaten, and Wood defeated Trainer and Johnson (A), 8 and 6.
