New Haven, Conn., June 5.--Holcomb York '17 has been named by the Yale Athletic Association to succeed L. W. Noble '27 as coach of the university hockey team, it was announced today. Noble, who is to graduate from the Yale Law School this month, is leaving to practise law in New York.
York has been freshman and junior university mentor for several years. As an undergraduate he was Yale's goal tender for two seasons.
R. R. Vaughn '28, former hockey and baseball captain, and coach of last year's freshman sextet, will succeed York as junior university coach H. L. Turnball '25, a newcomer on the coaching staff, will direct next season's first year men.
