GLEE CLUB GIVES ONLY BOSTON CONCERT SUNDAY

Making its only concert appearance of the season in Boston, the Harvard Glee Club will give a concert in Symphony Hall, Boston, at 3.30 o'clock, Sunday afternoon, December 13. The Club will be assisted in this performance by Miss Jeannette Vreeland, soprano, and Mr. Bernard Zighera, harpist of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.

President Lowell is chairman of the Honorary Committee of Sponsors, which has as its members Dr. Serge Koussevitzky, conductor of the Boston Symphony Orchestra; Professor K. B. Murdock, dean of the Faculty and Master of Leverett House; and Miss Bernice Veazey Brown, dean of Radcliffe College.

As usual the University singers will be conducted by Dr. A. T. Davison '06, director of the Glee Club. The program will include "Halleluiah Chorus," by Beethoven; "Adoramus Te," by Palestrina; three English folk songs, "Gently, Johnny," "The Foggy Dew," and "Spanish Ladies"; Der Gang zum Liebchen," by Brahms; choruses from "The Mikado," by Sullivan; and choruses from "Requiem," by Faure. Miss Vreeland will sing two groups of solos.

The Glee Club gave no concert in Boston last year because of the pressure of work with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. This season the demands of the joint work with the Orchestra are lighter. It is expected that the Club may appear in collaboration with the Orchestra but no definite announcement has been made.

Tonight the Club is combining with the Wellesley College Choir in a joint concert at Wellesley College. These engagements will close the pre-Christmas Vacation public appearances of the Club.
