DAVENPORT IS ELECTED TO CAPTAIN 1934 RACQUETMEN

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Sebert Ellsworth Davenport, III '34, of Forest Hills, Long Island, has been elected captain of the Freshman tennis team. Davenport, who was national Junior Indoor Doublen champion two years ago, has been playing number one regularly on Coach Cowles undefeated 1934 squad. The first-year captain graduated from the Westminster School in Simsbury, Conn.

This year's Freshman team has some excellent material besides Davenport, and is estimated to have a good chance of bettering last year's bare win of 5 to 4 over the Yale cubs when it meets the Eli-first year men on Saturday, May 23.
