ECONOMICS 8 TRANSFERRED TO SOCIOLOGY DEPARTMENT

Economics 8, the course now conducted by Professor T. N. Carver on Social Evolution and Social Progress, which has been given both at. Harvard and Radcliffe for the past 35 years, will no longer be given under that name after this semester.

Beginning next September, the course will be given in the new Department of Sociology as Sociology 3. It will be omitted at Radcliffe.

Professor Carver has given Economics 8 since 1900 and the course has served as local color in two novels of college life; Robert Wolf's "Springboard" and Nathan's "Peter Kindred."
