LOWELL HOUSE DINNER FOR PRESIDENT LOWELL

ATTENDANCE LIMITED TO HOUSE MEMBERS

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Members of Lowell House, including the Master, tutors and associates, will act as hosts to President Lowell on Tuesday, December 13, at a dinner in honor of his seventy-sixth birthday. Seven o'clock is the time set to start the event. Nearly all the residents will be present at the festivities, which will include a program of music and dramatic entertainment.

In charge of the entertainment is a committee which has been at work on the part of celebration to follow the dinner. Music will be furnished by an orchestra under the leadership of H. K. McEiheny '33, and by a group of singers. Following this there will be dramatics, which will be put on by members of the House.

Limited To House Members

Due to the large number of persons actually connected with the House, as well as the desire to make the dinner as informal as possible, the number of guests has been definitely limited to House members. Dress for the evening will be informal. In seating the residents and guests, the head table will be placed near the center of the room, while the high table will not be set for the meal. It is expected that approximately 350 persons will attend the dinner.

The practice of having a birthday dinner at Lowell House was started last year when President Lowell was entertained on the occasion of his seventy-fifth birthday.
