Approximately 110 Freshmen have reported to Coach Bert Haines since the beginning of last week, when the winter crew season officially commenced.

A little less than 20 per cent of the men who have reported have had experience in rowing before coming to Harvard. The interest shown by the candidates is especially good, and many of the new men are learning fast according to Coach Haines. With the material he was already received, Coach Haines expects a successful freshman season this spring.

The first meeting for Varsity men will be held immediately after the Mid Year examination period. Practice for upperclassmen under Coach Brown until that date is voluntary. A number of Varsity men, however, have already reported.
