Two men will represent the University next Sunday, November 13, at 2.30 o'clock at the first meeting this year of the Executive Committee of the New England Model League of Nations, to be held in Jordan House, Smith College, Northampton. W. S. Salant '33, chairman of the Harvard delegation, and representative last year in the French group at the meeting of the league, and M. A. Hoffman '34, who served as chairman of the Siamese delegation last year, are the men who will participate at the committee meeting this week.
The main purpose of the coming gathering is to make preparations for the general meeting of the league which will take place at Smith College on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, March 9-11, 1933. Arrangements will be made for the meeting-hall, and the subjects to be discussed next March will be chosen.
The New England Model League of Nations was formed five years ago to foster interest among college men in this section of the country in world affairs. Harvard has been active in the work of the organization for the last three years; last year and in the year previous, Harvard men officiated at the league meetings. A. D. Langmuir '31 was president of the organization two years ago, while D. H. Popper '32, acted as president of the Executive Committee last year.
