In preparation for a difficult schedule Coach Bob Muir has been putting his Freshman swimmers through severe workouts every day at the New Athletic Building. The first meet will take place next Thursday at 4.30 o'clock when the first year men will meet Tech.

Although only two members of the squad have ever had any outside competitive experience, Muir looks forward to a successful season and says that this season's men are the most willing group he has ever had. The Freshmen are going to swim the regulation Varsity courses this year, which include the 50. 220, and 440-yard racing swims, the 400-yard relay and the 100-yard free style. Diving competitions and breast and backstroke races complete the rest of the events. The team has adopted the new A.A.D. diving rules that have been used at the Olympics this year and are to be the standard rules for diving.
