For the first time in many years, an intramural gymnastic meet was held yesterday afternoon, in the Indoor Athletic Building. The outstanding performer was W. P. Freese 1L. who placed in three events.
The meet was conducted under the supervision of Coach W. R. Nelson '31, who announced that the winners will face an M.I.T. team at Technology on Tuesday, March 22. Since the sport has not as yet received official recognition, the meet will be purely informal.
The summary of yesterday's meet:
Parallel bars--won by J. R. Kalisch '88, second, C. M. Agrees '33, third, W. P. Freese 1L.
Horizontal bar--won by F. N. Jonks '34, second, W. P. Freese 1L.
Tumbling--won by C. M. Agrees '34 and W. P. Freese 1L. (tied for first place.)
Side horse--won by W. R. Blair '33; second, J. R. Kalisch '33.
Flying rings--won by F. M. Wadsworth '33.
