60 SWIMMERS WILL COMPETE FOR TITLES IN MEET TODAY

Competing in seven events, about 60 natators will take part in the University swimming meet, which will be held at 4 o'clock this afternoon. Fifty-five men had entered the contest at a late hour yesterday, but the entries will remain open until 1 o'clock today.

Of the 55 men who have signed up, 11 are entered in the 50-yard free style race, five in the 220-yard free style, five in the 100-yard back-stroke, five in the 100-yard breast stroke, 11 in the 100-yard free style, 12 in the medley race, and six in the dive.

Among the winners of last year's meet who are expected to defend their titles today in the events they carried off in 1931 are: R. D. Fallon '33, 50- and 100-yard free style; G. L. Jorgensen '34, 220-yard free style; E. E. Stowell '34, 100-yard backstroke; and H. C. Lehman '33, 100-yard breast stroke.
