In the face of a wind blowing at an average velocity of 37 miles an hour, a crew of eight men worked more than seven hours to turnbolt the first section of the spire on the New Memorial Chapel into position.
The largest section weighs three and one half tons; the smaller cap which will be raised near the end of the week, when the boom is fastened to the new section, weighs one and one half tons.
