Regular spring practice of the soccer squad will begin outdoors today. Previous to the vacation, a week of work-outs was held, at which about 25 men were present. A number of spring games have been planned, the first with a graduate team on Saturday, but the chief object of the spring session will be to classify the players, and to aid in the selection of an eleven for next fall.
The spring team will be composed both of members of last year's University team and of Freshmen, a large number of whom reported for practice before the holiday. On Saturday, April 30, this composite team will play Technology, and later in the season will face a number of semi-professional teams in the neighborhood of Boston.
A. T. T. Schumacher '33, captain of the team, and William Wemple '34 are among the most promising University players who are returning next fall. Most of the forward line is graduating this year's and it is probable that layers on this year's Freshman line will fill many of these places. The position of goalie will be keenly contested.
