Running against a field of 208 entries, John F. Kelley '35 was the forty-first runner to cross the finish line in the sixth Harvard open intercollegiate cross country run held yesterday afternoon over the Soldiers Field course of four and one-half miles. Howard S. Derrickson '35, the only other Harvard entrant was forced to drop out before the end.
The team from New Hampshire won the meet, and consequently the trophy, by scoring only 40 points; Bowdoin was second, with 55; Rhode Island State was third, totalling 85; Colby placed fourth, with 94; Boston College by annexing 132, came in fifth; Northeastern finished sixth, scoring 155; and Springfield was last with 204.
