In the initial game of the season, the Freshman eleven was defeated 7-0 by a strong Andover team, as the result of an intercepted pass late in the game. The ball, thrown by Bilodeau, was taken by York, Andover left halfback, who with fine interference carried it 80 yards for a touchdown. The extra point was kicked by Kellog.

Near the end of the first quarter, and again in the second, Andover fumbled, and Harvard recovered within scoring distance, but lost the ball on downs. The teams were evenly matched; the last two games with Andover were scoreless ties.
